Completed development of the 91 room Park Inn, Glasgow City Centre, which was financed through a BPRA partnership structure by Harcourt Capital LLP. Construction works commenced in April 2012 and the hotel opened on the 17 April 2013. The total development was valued at just over £10m. The project was finished on time and on Budget.
HLD was selected as preferred developer for this substantial hotel development in Manchester City Centre. The development omprises the first property in the UK for Melia Hotels and is typical of the market leading approach adopted by the company. The £25m hotel will provide 208 beds along with conference facilities and two restaurants within a major development area in Manchester City Centre. The company is promoting the development in partnership with the landowner, Ask Developments, and started on site May 2013.
HLD working with in partnership Napier Capital acquired Proctor House a listed building in Newcastle upon Tyne. Having fully funded the scheme, raising in excess of £8.5m, the development of a 104 bed hotel . The hotel was completed in October 2014 and is being operated under the Tune Hotels brand.
252 room Park Inn hotel at City Park in Manchester, a 50:50 joint venture with a private equity partner. The hotel was pre-let to Rezidor Hotels UK Llimited and funded by an Irish investor. Construction of the hotel commenced in July 2007 and was opened in June 2009.
The total scheme value is in excess of £37m. The project was completed on time and within 2% of the original contract price.
HLD recently entered into a development agreement for a 100 bed Tune Hotel in the historic Queens Insurance Building in Liverpool City Centre. The development has recently started on site and scheduled to complete mid 2015.
